Admin consent for Microsoft Office 365 (Azure)

Follow

We support email connections for a variety of products, including Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, and Office 365

However, in some instances, your company may wish to restrict third-party app connection access in your Office 365/Azure account. This allows you to fully leverage the security and privacy restrictions of Microsoft Azure. We now provide a connection option for admin consent, which you can enable by following the steps below.

First: Enable Admin Consent from Azure

Admins must first disable non-admin users from consenting to or registering new Third-Party Apps in your Office 365/Azure account.

  1. Log into portal.azure.com
  2. From the left side bar menu, click "Azure Active Directory"
  3. From the Active Directory (AD) sidebar menu, click "User Settings"
  4. Disable the following options:
    • "Users can consent to apps accessing company data on their behalf"
    • "Users can register applications"

Second: Enable Admin Consent From SalesLoft

Once Admin Consent has been enabled in Microsoft Office 365/Azure, you must then consent to SalesLoft from an admin license within the SalesLoft app. We do this by quickly redirecting you from inside the SalesLoft app to the Azure AD listing to install SalesLoft within Office 365. Just follow these steps here:

  1. Navigate to the Email Team Settings Page
  2. Scroll down to the "Available Email Clients" section.
  3. Click the "Require Admin Consent" link located beside the "Microsoft Office365 (Oauth)" checkbox
  4. You will be redirected to Microsoft's Oauth page (Log in if prompted)
  5. You will be asked to consent to permissions requested by SalesLoft
  6. Accept the consent form
  7. You will be redirected to the Email Settings page on SalesLoft

Last: Non-admin users can connect SalesLoft to Office365 email Client

Now non-admin SalesLoft users can authenticate and connect their Office 365 Email Client to SalesLoft by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Email Settings Page
  2. Click "Microsoft Office 365 (Oauth)" link
  3. You will be redirected to Microsoft's Oauth page (Log in if prompted)
  4. You will NOT be asked to consent to permissions
  5. You will be redirected to the Email Settings page on SalesLoft
  6. Your office365 email account will be listed below the "Microsoft Office 365 (Oauth)" link, indicating that the connection was successful
