Using the Templates Tab

The Templates tab allows you to create, organize and archive templates and export key template metrics in a snap.

From the templates tab you can:


Create a New Template

Step 1: Navigate to the "Templates" tab.

Step 2: Click the green "Add" button.

Step 3: Build out your new template. Be sure to use an engaging subject line and dynamic tags.

Step 4: Send yourself a preview, if you desire, by clicking the "Email myself a preview" button. Then, save your new template.

Filter & Sort Templates

To filter, click the funnel filter icon, then select your filter options. You can filter to view:

  • Only your templates
  • All of the shared templates on your team
  • Shared templates for a specific team member

To sort, click the arrow sort icon, then select your sorting options. You can sort in ascending or descending order by:

  • Last used
  • Template name
  • Created date
  • Most viewed template by percentage
  • Most clicked template by percentage
  • Most replied template by percentage
  • Total number of emails sent using that template
  • Template's owner name

Add or Remove Tags on Existing Templates

Step 1: Select the template or templates you want to add tags to or remove tags from by clicking the checkbox next to their names.

Step 2: Click the tags icon.

To add tags, click the "Add Tags" link. Then, type your tag and click add. Continue adding your tags individually, and click "Save."

To remove tags, click the "Remove Tags" link. Then, click the "x" next to each tag you wish to remove and click "Save."

Copy Templates

Step 1: Select the template or templates you want to add tags to or remove tags from by clicking the checkbox next to their names.

Step 2: Click the "copy" icon to copy the selected template(s). Copied templates will have the name of the original template followed by a dash and "Copy."

Share or Unshare Templates

Step 1: Select the template or templates you want to add tags to or remove tags from by clicking the checkbox next to their names.

Step 2: Click the "lock" sharing icon. To share currently private templates, click "Share." To make public templates private, click "Private."

View and Export Template Metrics

To view the metrics for one template, simply check out the metric icons on the righthand side. 

To export template metrics, first select the templates you want to export metrics for, or select all templates using the select all feature. Then, click the drop down menu next to "Add" and select "Export."

Archive and Delete Templates 

To archive templates, select the template or templates by clicking the checkbox next to their name. Then click the "archive" icon. Archiving a template removes it from your template list view, but you can continue to view archived templates by selecting "Include Archived" under the filtering option.

To delete a template, select the template or templates by clicking the checkbox next to their name. Then click the "trash" icon and select "Delete." Deleted templates cannot be recovered.
