Account-Based Importing


Companies are a core functionality of SalesLoft, crucial to customers using an Account-Based Sales Development approach. Now, you can import accounts from Salesforce, either one at a time or from a list view, and any accompanying field information will be imported based on your field configurations. No more entering customized company details manually. Yay!

To import directly from the Salesforce account page, click the blue "Import to SalesLoft" button and then select "Import Account." (Note: Accounts and Contacts must currently be imported separately) 

To import multiple accounts at once, navigate to an account list view in Salesforce, and click the blue Import to Cadence" button.

You'll be redirected to the SalesLoft company import page. From here, you can see a list of the accounts being imported, and any duplicate conflicts or errors.

If you are a team admin, you can select who on your team will own the companies (only one owner can be selected during each import).

If you are not an admin, the companies default to you as the owner, just as importing People does. 

If you have mapped company fields, we will bring in the appropriate information from those accounts. If you do not yet have company fields mapped, you will see an error page redirecting you to configure your company fields first (if you are not an admin, you must communicate with your team admin to configure company fields). This includes company name and domain, two required fields for importing accounts.

You can then return to Salesforce and try your import again.

After selecting the import button, you will be redirected to the company list page in SalesLoft, sorted by most recent activity. This allows you to take any additional actions on the companies in bulk. Note that if you are an admin and you assigned the companies to another user, the company list view defaults to your companies, so you would need to adjust the filter to see the recent imports.
