Cadences offer a systematic method to manage and master your sales process. But consistent use of Cadences can leave you asking one very important question, "How are my Cadences performing?".
The Cadence Report centralizes the important metrics about your Cadences in one convenient location. From the report, you can view a list of all Cadences, which you can filter and sort to your viewing preference. This visibility allows for comparison of Cadences so that you can see which campaigns are performing the best based on open rates, clicks, replies, and more in one list view.
To access the Cadence Report, go to the Reports Tab. Find the Cadences section and select the Standard Cadence View.

Cadence Analytics Overview
The Cadence Analytics show a detailed report of your team's Cadences. This way admins and users alike can report on the success of campaigns used by all team members and figure out which Cadences are most effective.
The first row of the report contains the total metrics based on your filter settings.
Each performance metric is visible in its own column. The columns include:
|Name||The name of the Cadence.|
|Type||Personal or Team Cadence. Team Cadences will appear as a blue hyperlink. Select the link to view the Team Cadence by User Dashboard.|
|Owner||SalesLoft user who owns the Cadence, typically the person who created the Cadence.|
|Successes||Number of Successes marked on Cadences.|
|Effectiveness Score||Shows how many activities (calls, emails or other steps) it takes to get a single success.|
|Email Touches Per Success||How many email steps it took to get a success.|
|Call Touches Per Success||How many call steps it took to get a success.|
|Other Touches Per Success||How many other steps it took to get a success.|
Number of meetings booked through the SalesLoft Calendar feature within the platform.
|Calls Logged||Number of calls logged from the Cadence.|
|Sent||Number of emails sent from the Cadence.|
|Bounced||Number of emails sent from the Cadence resulting in a bounce.|
|% Bounced||Percentage of emails sent from the Cadence that resulted in a bounced email.|
|Personalized||Number of emails that were personalized.|
|% Personalized||The percentage of emails sent that have > 5% personalization score. The 5% reflects a minimum threshold for meaningful personalization that impacts reply rates.|
|Average Personalization Score||The average of personalization scores across a set of emails.|
|Opened||Number of emails sent from the Cadence resulting in a view.|
|% Opened||Percentage of emails sent from the Cadence that resulted in an open or view.|
|Clicked||Number of emails sent from the Cadence resulting in a link being clicked.|
|% Clicked||Percentage of emails sent from the Cadence that resulted in a click.|
|Replied||Number of emails sent from the Cadence resulting in a reply.|
|%Replied||Percentage of emails sent from the Cadence that resulted in a reply.|
|Completed Steps||Actual number of steps completed based on the filter settings.|
|Skipped Steps||How often the filtered team members are skipping steps of their Cadence process.|
|% Skipped Steps||The number of steps skipped divided by the total number of steps.|
|Overdue Steps||The total overdue steps in Cadence. A step is counted as overdue after the step is marked completed.|
|% Overdue Steps||Percentage of overdue steps divided by the total step count.|
|On-Time Steps||The number of steps that have been finished on or before the due date.|
|% On-Time Steps||The percentage of steps that have been finished on or before the due date.|
|LinkedIn Research||The total completed LinkedIn steps.|
LinkedIn Completed Steps
|The completed LinkedIn steps that are research.|
|LinkedIn Introductions||The completed LinkedIn steps that are introductions.|

Cadence Report Defaults
Ideally, your report would be full of awesome metrics. However, if you are new to SalesLoft, or testing Cadences, or just haven't gotten the ball rolling, your metrics may show a lot of disheartening zeroes.
By default, your Cadence Report only shows Cadences with data for the previous seven days. This gives you a simple list that is more manageable to digest, and you avoid needing to scroll through entries of Cadences that have no data.
Now, if there is no data to be found, SalesLoft will show an "empty state" message. The empty state message will prompt you to adjust your Time Range filter to bring in more results. Clicking the Learn More button will bring you to this article (if you clicked that already, welcome!).
Things to Note:
- All Cadences listed will contain results in at least one column (i.e., there will not be a full line of zeros).
- Cadences lacking any results for the specified date range will be excluded from the list and won't be displayed on the report. You can change your data range by using sorting and filtering options.
Cadences Reports Filters
The Cadences Report can be filtered to analyze specific segments of users or time periods.
You will notice four filters above the Cadences Report table. The filers are separated into their own buttons based off of the type of button. The buttons will appear blue or white based on whether or not the filter is in use.
Things to Note: Leaving the Cadences Report screen will reset the filters back to their default settings.
You can filter the report based on the following criteria:
The Time Range filter allows you to view your data over a specific time period. The filter will default to 7 days when you arrive at the Cadences Report tab. Since the filter is already in use, the icon will appear blue.
To edit the filter, follow these steps:
- Go to the Cadences Report.
- Click the Time Range filter icon (furthest to the left). A dropdown menu with your filter options will appear.
- Select your filter from the following options:
- 7 Days
- Week to Date
- Month to Date
- Year to Date
- 30 days
- 90 days
- Custom: Select your own filter range by choosing a Start Date and End Date.
- Click Apply.
The SalesLoft Owner filter allows you to select your entire team of SalesLoft users, a select group, or individual team members. This filter is second from the left. It will default to show everyone on your SalesLoft team.
To edit the user whose data you see, click the Owner filter and select from the following options:
- All Users
- Specific Users (may require additional permission)
- Users in Specific Group (may require additional permission)
The Cadence Type filter decides whether personal and/or team Cadences will appear in your Cadences Report view. This filter option is the third filter from the left.
Filtering Cadences by type provides possible answers to the following Cadence question: What are my team Cadence results for the selected date range?
The default state is ALL Cadence types, including both team and personal Cadences.
To include/exclude team or personal Cadences in the Cadence list, select the Type filter and click your preference. The updated Cadence list will now include Cadences filtered by type.
The Cadence Function filter lets you view Cadences that have been assigned a Cadence Function. The Cadence Function defines the Cadences use case and is set during the Cadence creation process.
The filter options include:
- Outbound: denotes an outbound cadence, typically for sales purposes.
- Inbound: denotes an inbound sales cadence.
- Event: denotes a cadence used for an upcoming event.
- Other: denotes a cadence outside of the standard process.
You will need to add the Cadence Function filter from the Add Filter selections. Once this filter appears in your row, click the Function filter name to open the dropdown options. You may select one filter at a time.
You can add the following additional filters when you click Add Filter:
- Calls Logged
- % Opened
- % Replied
Each column header can also be used to sort the list. To sort the Cadences to fit your preference, follow these steps:
- Select the appropriate column header. The header name will turn blue.
- Use the arrow to the right of the header name to set the sorting direction. The arrow will point up or down (ascending or descending order) to reflect the order of the list.
All of your Cadences Report metrics are listed out in the Cadences Report table.
Since there are so many metrics to view, you can scroll horizontally down the list of metrics in a clean and concise view.
The Name column is known as a "freeze column." This means that it will remain anchored (or frozen) when you horizontally scroll through the rest of the analytics in the table.
