The Notes panel on the recording detail page allows you to add comments (aka notes), mention other SalesLoft users, reply to previous notes, tag items, and more. Your notes include any comments made from the Live Notes page during a call, as well as notes that are added from the recording detail page.
You will find the Conversation Intelligence Notes panel to the right of the video player.

Timestamps and Extra Notes
Notes are divided between Timestamps and Extra Notes.
Timestamp notes are comments that are made at a specific moments during a recording. These notes may be logged from Live Notes notes or notes taken from the recording details. When you select a time stamp note, the recording will jump to that point of the call.
Extra notes: Additional notes that are made after your recording is complete. These notes may be more generic since they are not associated with a specific moment of the recording. Extra notes are a good place to put recaps or follow up questions that need to be addressed.
Add a New Note
When you review a recording, note taking can help address post call action items or offer coaching tips for future calls.
To add a new note, follow these steps:
- Access your meeting recording.
- If you are creating a time stamped note, find the moment in your call using the video player timeline.
- From the Notes panel, select Timestamps or Extra Notes.
- In the text box at the bottom of the notes panel, type in your note.
- Hit the enter key on your keyboard.
- The note will appear with the following details:
- Your name as the note taker
- The note
- Reply button
- When the note was added
- Ellipses icon for additional note actions
Mention a Team Member
Mentions alert other SalesLoft users to take a look at your recording and/or note. Use mentions to highlight a best practice, ask questions of a manager, or request follow up material.
To mention a team member, follow these steps:
- Access your meeting recording.
- In the text box, type "@".
- A drop down menu of your SalesLoft team members will appear below the note. Continue typing the person's name to refine the list or scroll the list find their name.
- Select the team member's name. Add any additional text if necessary (i.e. further instructions).
- Hit the enter key on your keyboard to post the note.
- The team member will receive an email notification about the mention, prompting them to respond to the note.
Reply to a Note
If a note contains a question or follow up item, team members can converse within the note using the reply feature.
To reply to a note, follow these steps:
- Access your meeting recording.
- Below the note, click the blue Reply link.
- Type in your note in the available text box.
- Hit the enter key on your keyboard.
Edit a Note
In the event of typos or needing to add more information, you can edit a note after it has been created.
To edit a note, follow these steps:
- Access your meeting recording.
- The to right of the note, select the ellipses icon.
- From the dropdown menu, select Edit Note.
- The note will become a text box. Make any changes to the text.
- Hit the enter key to save your edit. Hit the esc key to cancel.
Tag a Note
To tag a note, follow these steps:
- Access your meeting recording.
- Select the ellipses on the line of the note.
- Select Add Tag.
- Chose the tag you need from the drop down menu.
- Click Save. The tag will appear in a bubble below the note.
- To remove the tag, click the X on the right side of the tag label.
Format Notes for Your CRM
Additional meeting notes in your CRM activity logs increase the data that you can share with managers and company personnel outside of SalesLoft. In order to add your Conversation Intelligence Notes to your activity logs, SalesLoft has taken care of the formatting and copying process for you.
To format your Conversation Intelligence Notes to your CRM logs, follow these steps:
- Access your meeting recording.
- Select the ellipses icon in the upper right corner of the Notes panel.
- Click Format Notes for CRM.
- The Format Notes window will appear. Scroll to view and edit in the text box, if necessary.
- Click Copy to Clipboard. A notification will pop up informing your that the notes have been copies to your clipboard.
- Go to your CRM (Salesforce).
- Paste the notes to your task.
Delete a Note
To delete a note, follow these steps:
- Access your meeting recording.
- Select the ellipses icon to the right of the note.
- From the dropdown menu, select Delete.
- A window will appear to confirm the delete. Click Confirm Delete.
