Your Profile Settings page within your Personal Settings is the hub to set up and edit your SalesLoft account information and email signature.
In this article, you will learn the steps to take within the Profile Settings page to set up your SalesLoft profile, including:
- Update Your Account Info
- Select Your Job Role
- Edit Your Signature with HTML Code
- Connect to Integrations
- Set Your Time Zone

Update Your Account Info
Your account info includes your email address and password information. The email address your team admin sends your SalesLoft invite to is the same email address you will use as your login credential. Which means, if the invite went to your office email, that email address grants you access to SalesLoft.
Now, if you would like to use an alternative email address or change your password for your SalesLoft use, like using your old school Hotmail address (sk8rboi12345) for whatever reason, you can modify or edit your email address and password.
Follow the instructions below to update your email address and change your password:
- Click on your name in the top right corner and select Settings.
- On the Profile Settings page, click the Update Your Account Info button.
- Enter the new email you'd prefer in the top field.
- Type your current password (for security purposes).
- Click the Update my info button at the bottom.
If your team uses single sign-on (SSO) with SalesLoft, the password updates may not be available on the Update Your Account Info page. When you click Update Account Info the page will allow you to change your name.
Select Your Job Role
The job role defines your current job within your organization. You will typically select the job role when initially creating your SalesLoft account. But if you skipped that step in the sign-up process, or are changing roles in your company (congrats!), you can edit your job role from the Profile Settings page.
To edit your job role, follow these steps:
- Click on your name in the top right corner and select Settings.
- On the Profile Settings page, click the Job Role dropdown menu.
- Select your job role from the following selections:
- SDR/BDR
- Account Executive/Account Manager
- Management
- Executive Leadership
- Customer Success
- Operations
- Other
- Hit Save Profile at the bottom of the page.
Edit Your Signature with HTML Code
When a signature is saved to your SalesLoft profile, that signature will be added at the end of every SalesLoft email you send.
Now, you can set up your signature or copy and paste a previously existing signature into the window, hit save, and be done with the process.
However, if you run into an error with the copy and paste method or want to stretch your HTML design muscles, you can edit your signature using HTML code to ensure that the design and format are exactly the way you want them to be.
Things to Note: SalesLoft's editor is built and maintained with Tiny MCE. Tiny runs on basic HTML 5 rules. If you update the code, but the end result is different than anticipated, check the editor. Tiny will try to fix any code that looks weird or is built in a way that seems unrecognizable or constructed incorrectly.
If HTML makes you a little nervous because it looks totally foreign, that's OK. Here are some tips:
- Request the code view of your company's designated email signature from your marketing team. Then you can copy and paste the code into the HTML editor.
- Here are a few code basics:
- <p></p> designates a paragraph of text.
- <br> designates a line break.
- <strong>text</strong> bolds the text in between the code blocks.
Let's walk through how to edit your signature using HTML code:
- Click on your name in the top right corner and select Settings.
- From the Profile Settings page, scroll to the Email Signature edit box.
- Click the Code View (</>) icon on the signature toolbar. The source code editor will pop up.
- Enter or edit the code.
- Click Save in the Source Code window. The changes you made will appear in the Email Signature Editor window.
- Click Save Profile.
Connect to Integrations
Integrations allow you to use other tech sources within the SalesLoft platform. In order to access these integrations, you will need to connect your SalesLoft account to your integrations account. This will provide the authorization needed to link to two systems.
Currently, you can connect to the following integrations from your SalesLoft profile:
The Twitter integration allows you to view recent tweets on SalesLoft profiles.
For more information on connecting to Twitter, check out our Twitter Integration article.
Zoom
The Zoom integration grants authorization to Zoom in your SalesLoft Meetings tool and in Conversation Intelligence.
Things to Note: One Zoom account can only be connected to one user. Several users cannot connect the same Zoom account.
Learn more about how to connect to zoom and details of the integration in the following articles:
- SalesLoft Zoom Integration for Conversation Intelligence records meetings using Zoom and then makes the recordings available in Conversation Intelligence.
- Meetings Zoom Integration will generate unique Zoom links for each scheduled meeting you set using the SalesLoft Meetings tool.
