Hi David! Great question - one of the best ways to determine if someone is in an active cadence is to leverage Person Stages. Cadence Settings allow you to define the Stage of a Person when some is added to or finishes a cadence. You can also use Automation Rules to update Person Stage when someone is removed from a cadences or even when the first step of a cadence is completed. Once your Person Stages are lined up, it should be fairly simple to create the appropriate filters in a Salesforce list view or report! Hope that helps!

    Hey David,

If you want to clear out these fields when someone if removed from a Cadence you can build them into an automation rule person field update, example below:

    Best,

Thanks to both of you for your answers.   I think both solutions could work.  @Ryan, what is the best way to clean up the data so to speak?  I get that going forward I can have an automation rule that will trigger when someone is removed from a cadence, but how can I clear out that field for everyone in Salesloft who might have finished a cadence recently?

    Thank you!

    Hey David,

Do you have access to a tool like Demand Tools/Data Loader? You should be able to pull some reports to update data in mass. It's worth noting that some of these fields clear by default, here's the KB article: https://support.salesloft.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029745491-Person-Field-Configuration#Most_Recent_Cadence_Fields

Things to Note: When a person is removed from a Cadence or completes a Cadence, the following field values will be cleared out automatically:

    • Most Recent Cadence - Next Step
    • Most Recent Cadence - Next Step Due Date
    • Most Recent Cadence - Next Step Name
